DirecTV has finally made good on it’s partnership with TiVo, unveiling it’s latest set top box that is fully stocked with TiVo DVR technology. The device carries the same $199 one-time fee as DirecTV’s other HD DVR boxes. Read more from DirecTV, here.
Jay’s Take – Only good if you’re a die-hard TiVo user. This box is without the key Whole-Home DVR service, DIRECTV iPad App remote control and live TV streaming functionality, DIRECTV CINEMA (satellite downloads), YouTube on TV, 3D, and GameSearch™ functions as other DirecTV boxes that cost the same price.
